Divide and Conquer
The living room vibe felt a bit fuzzy for the owner,
there was no clear division between the cosy couch area, the kids play area and the dining room, since they existed all in one long room.
Her solution was a room divider that also served as a bookshelf/plant holder that is accessibly from both sides.
a few of the bigger cubbys had set dimensions, the rest was a bit of free-for-all
with a few sheets of plywood and my trusty tracksaw I got to work
most of the construction was using dowels and lots and lots of glue
then laying it all flat to sand a much of it as I could in one go
layer one and two on top of each other
layer 2.5
happy me who found a way to transport this without a Van at the time ( luckily she lives only a block from my workshop)
stacking it all up before fixing it down
seeing the other side, which you should always do in life
The client painted the piece herself and styled it to perfection. She even took the pictures :)
